Our prices or estimates are for a service based on a “tub ready pet”, we will always give you the estimate price range at check-in, as each visit is unique. We encourage clients to brush out their pets and remove the matting if possible before arrival.

Price fluctuations happen usually because there is a difference of what is being presented. Perhaps the coat is more matted or longer. Maybe the pet hasn’t been to see us in over six months and the pattern or style has to be reset. Prices also change as raw materials increase, we only use the best possible products on our pet guests.

Groomers can give Pet Parents an estimate or a range at check in based upon what they are working with. Pet Parents should feel free to always inquire about their pets price before leaving.

Matting, Tangle and Knots

Dematting pets are so painful for the pet, we will offer to trim out or do a shave down so you can start over, both of which are extra. The other option is to allow the owner to dematt the pet and return for a regular service.

Our estimates are based on breeds, time of work and skills needed along with what the client is presenting us with. Prices can fluctuate from visit to visit depending upon what we are presented with. We will always give you the estimate at check in as each visit is unique.

Definition of a Tub Ready Pet

A pet that is free of knots or matts that cannot be brushed or combed out, that requires no extra work and the pet is ready for their bath. You never put a matted pet into water as it makes the condition worse!

We offer a select range of the finest shampoos and coat conditioners. You are welcome to bring your pets' own shampoo and conditioner!

What goes on During a Pets Service

Animal grooming is done in segments so the pet is constantly moving between stations for different parts of their service. Typically, they are first checked in and acclimated before our bathing team gives a full coat brush out prepping the pet for the tub; they have their nails trimmed, pads trimmed, ear & eyes cleaned, small knots or tangles are brushed or cut out. In the tub they are shampooed with love and care followed by a conditioner. The drying by hand usually takes the longest and for some pets we do a stop and go so they don’t get stressed. This is followed by a break before the groomer begins the haircut if that is happening, otherwise the pet is ready for checkout.

Usually the longest they are in a kennel is waiting for pickup.

Express Service

If you would like your pet in and out under four hours we are happy to provide you with this service. This is great for seniors, puppies, or people on a tight schedule. There are only a few express appointments available each day made by appointment in advance, with a small additional fee. For felines we automatically charge for an express service.

Maintenance Plans

For our regular grooming clients (3 visits or more in 6 months), we offer a free facial clean-up between upcoming grooming visits. A quick trim of the face, plus eye and ear cleaning and off they go. In order for us to provide this service it needs to be done by appointment.

Appointment or Prices

Bathing and haircut appointments can be made online or by calling 404-633-8755. Returning clients can text us at that number for an appointment. Online appointments are available on our web page. We love texting and online as it allows us time to focus on pets in our care. Telephone calls only delay us from finishing.

Standing Appointments or Multi Pet Discounts

For clients who make a regular Standing Appointment every 6 weeks and under we provide a reduced price for full grooming services. For clients who have 3 or more pets we offer a Multi Pet Discount. For exact price reductions please consult with our staff.

Cancellations or No Shows

Please alert us as soon as possible to any cancellations, usually 24 hours prior is adequate consideration. After one No Show we will require payment in full to make any grooming appointments.

Feline Guests

Felines are scheduled for grooming early in the morning without the distraction of barking dogs, by appointment only. Felines require special handling all their own and we do our best to make sure your feline is safely and comfortably groomed. Felines range from tolerant to downright dangerous when it becomes professionally groomed. We let your cat tell us just how much grooming is going to be tolerated. Our feline bathing now automatically defaulted to a Dry Shampoo Treatment, if you want a Wet Shampoo Treatment there is an extra fee as it requires extra staff.

Crate Housing

All pets are crated for their comfort and safety. Domesticated dogs still carry the genetic instinct as "den animals" and naturally seek the safety of their own secured territory when in new situations. If your pet is not crate friendly ask about our Express or Day Care Services where they can remain before or after spa services.

Safety

For the health and safety of your pet and the groomers that handle them, all grooming clients are required to show proof of current vaccinations, most particularly rabies. In the event of an animal bite, if the animal does not have current rabies vaccination proper reporting is required.

We employ safe restraint techniques that include a strap around the abdomen so your pet is secure and will not slip off of the grooming table or jump out of the tub. We have selective hair drying techniques, including several types of driers that offer alternative speeds with warm air or a fan circulating room temperature air as your pet requires. We also have the "Happy Hoodie" which covers your pet's head and ears like a tube sock during drying to greatly reduces stress during the drying procedure.

Injuries

Animal Grooming is not without its possibilities of injury. We are using sharp tools and being that animals are not statues and can move suddenly injury is always possible. It is our intent to offer the safest service possible, should an accident happen you will always be alerted and the incident will be documented.

If your pet has medical issues we should be aware of, please tell us before we begin. Failure to disclose medical or health issues voids all guarantees.

Rain Guarantee

For our grooming and bathing clients we know that sometimes mother nature happens, and fido or fluffy gets wet and messy right after a grooming or bathing service. If this happens within 24 hours of your last service and you need us to do a quick clean up let us know. A small fee to clean up is charged.

Grooming Guarantee

We want you to be happy with your pet's service. We are realistic and understand sometimes it's not quite right, or you may want a correction. If this is the case, please give us a call after your service and let us know what the issue is so we can schedule a correction appointment at no charge.

We will do everything possible to correct the issue if we can. In the event we cannot, we will explain why not and note your pets file of your preferences so it doesn't happen a second time.

Arrival and Check In

Please plan your time so you are not rushed at check in, this will allow you to meet with your pet's stylist and talk about the services you are considering.

For the safety of your pet and others we ask that our canine friends be brought in on a leash or carrier and felines should be brought in with a carrier.

Clients will meet with the groomer providing the service to communicate instructions. If the groomer doesn’t speak with you, they will call you before beginning.

Food and Water

If you feed your pet in the morning of their service we thank you for walking them before bringing them to us. We are happy to provide a midday snack and outside breaks in the play yard if requested. If your pet needs access to water at all times please let us know.

Appointments

We are able to accommodate most schedules. Appointments are suggested, and walk ins are welcomed provided we have openings. We will want to keep your pet at least four hours or more depending upon our schedule. Please note at TPS, pets are rotated through their service having different things done at different times with resting intervals between the grooming process. They rarely are just sitting in a cage. We find this is what most pets prefer.

Client Decorum

Our staff are professionals, and will treat all clients with respect and consideration. TPS cannot tolerate verbal or physical abuse in store or by telephone/internet, we always encourage polite conversation.

Finishing Up

Due to the general nature of pet grooming it is impossible for us to pin-point or guarantee an exact finish time, things happen and we won't rush to compromise on our services. We do provide a finish range of time, for pick up afterwards before we close. You can always text us to see how things are going. Please understand we work at the speed of comfort for the pet. Our typical default time is four hours.

We do try to call or text all clients when their pet(s) are finished at the number provided.

When your pet is finished they will be housed either in a clean finishing cage or their carrier. Day Care if you prefer. For the pets protection felines are always placed in their carrier when finished by the groomer.

As some staff leave after servicing your pet, we do not always have someone here to re-bathe a pet who soils itself (it happens). Each accident is unique, we will do our best to freshen the pet up, if possible.
