About Our Boarding
We offer a Boutique Boarding experience for a small number of socialized pets in an off-leash environment with a focus on personal attention. From a day to a month, we can meet most boarding needs of most pets. However, for everyone's safety we are selective to who we allow in our facility.
Our Briarcliff Road facility, which was newly remodeled indoors in a climate-controlled environment. Each pet has its own place, with enough space to be very comfortable. Outdoors are two large play areas.
If you are interested in our Boutique Boarding Services, please submit our online Daycare Boarding Application Form. Ask your veterinarian(s) to fax or email your pets complete medical history Fax 404-633-8755 or Email thepetset@thepetset.com.
Once we receive your application our team will review and schedule an interview/temperament test with you and your pet. It is important for us to know surgeries, medications, injuries, health issues failure to disclose this information can void any guarantees.
Boarding for Dogs and Cats
All new first time boarding dogs must pass a socialization/temperament test to be allowed into our boarding care. Once approved for boarding, your pet is also approved for Day Care.
Our boutique kennel is for non-aggressive socialized pets, who at times will socialize off leash with other pets. We consider our boarding of dogs more boutique and we shy away from mass boarding. Dogs and cats are house overnight in appropriate size kennels.
Fresh bottled water is always made available. We feed 100% all natural Foods.
- Dogs boarding must have proof of current: Rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper/Parvo Virus.
- New First Time K9 Guests must submit a Boarding Application with complete Medical Records and pass a K9 Temperament Test.
- Returning Guests not seen in 6 months must retake a K9 Temperament Test at No Charge before boarding.
- Dog K9 Flu H3N8 vaccination is highly recommended.
- Dogs are welcome between the ages of 20 weeks to 12 years. Dogs who have boarded with us before who age beyond 12 are still welcomed.
- We do not require pets to be neutered or spayed in our off leash care.
- Dog weight restriction is 125lb.
- Annually we may request updated complete medical records from your veterinarian.
Standard Boarding
Our standard boarding is based upon the size and weight of your pet. Pets are housed in kennels which are appropriate to their size with full Daycare privileges.
Boarding for Cats
Currently we are not cat boarding until our cat area has finished being remodeled.
"The Cat House" Feline Boarding is in a secure area, climate controlled, and away from the dogs. We feature "cat houses" specifically designed for cats with raised perches for cat napping. Fresh bottled water is always made available. We feed Pure Lux Pet Foods.
Cats boarding must have proof of current: FVRCP, Rabies, and FelineLeuk. Annually we request complete medical records.
Felines do not need to submit to a temperament test.
Boarding Rates and Charges
Our new pricing of services after January 1, 2025 are below. Any Clients with old boarding packages are grandfathered in to use until they expire.

Socialization Temperament Testing Fee: $35.00 (paid at testing check in, this fee is credited back to your account to use on your pets first boarding package.)
Pre-Paid Package
Boarding Packages are sold in advance or at check in per pet, never at check out. They expire 1 year after first night used.

Additional Boarding Services
- Hikes - $10 per 30 min out of facility hike 1-1 with Staff
- Special Diets - $8.00 per day (your own food at assigned quantities and times)
- Medication Administering - $8.00 per day
- Solo Boarding (dogs who cannot be socialized with other dogs) - $10.00 per day extra
Our lobby is closed for arrivals/departures therefore a two-night minimum stay is required on: New Year's Day, Easter Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Holiday Rate of $8 per night is added to non-package pet stays during 2025 1/1-1/5, 4/1-4/21, 5/22-27,7/1-7/6, 8/28-9/2,11/16-11/30,12/14-12/31
General Information
Deposits for Boarding
During certain times we may require a one nights deposit to secure your reservation, these are usually during peak or holiday times.
Check In
Check In begins 9:00am
We will begin a pre-check in with emailing of certain required forms if needed for each arrival, please bring them with you. Most pet and client records and payments are accessible through the Gingr Pet Parent APP https://thepetset.portal.gingrapp.com
Communication
Our Staff is available during regular hours to answer any questions or concerns. We encourage clients to ask as many questions as they like. Our texting system is also available for quick responses before, during and after your pets visit.
Cleaning
Our facility is kept clean and disinfected beyond industry standards. We surface clean several times every day with a 99.9% disinfectant. We never stop cleaning!
Please remember your pet is going to be around other animals and no matter how much we disinfect they still can pick up strange things off surfaces, other pets, or even airborne that can cause issues, or a trip to the vet clinic. We regret we cannot guarantee your pet will not contact strange things from other pets or environmental, and do not provide any compensation if they do.
Pet Personal Items
Personal items such as beds, toys, treats are allowed. We cannot guarantee or be responsible for replacement, or that they will be returned in the same condition as when brought in.
Emergency Contact
Emergency Contact Required for boarding stays must be someone who in the event of an emergency can be on call to pick your pet up for veterinarian care and act upon your behalf. (Please review and submit as Needed Boarding Guest Forms
Senior Pet Form
For pets 10 years and older we require a Senior Form each time at Check In. (Please print and fill out under As Needed Boarding Guest Forms - Boarding Senior Release Form)
Medication Services
We only administer oral liquid & pill medication. Any pet requiring anything other than this should not make a reservation with us. We do charge a fee to administer any medication.
Animals with bandages, casts, muzzles, open wounds, cones etc will not be accepted at check in. (Please print and fill out under As Needed Boarding Guest Forms - Boarding Medication Addendum Form)
Feeding or Diet Services
We provide dry kibble as our house brand. If you prefer to bring your own food, please put the pet's name on any food, place into plastic bag(s) with instructions for staff on each bag. We will return any unused items. We do charge a small fee for these feeding services. (Please print and fill out under As Needed Boarding Guest Forms - Boarding Feeding Guest Form)
We also offer can foods from our in store market.
Grooming
We suggest that pets boarding 3 or more nights have a bathing service prior to checkout. You may set this up at any time during your pets visit prior to the day of checkout.
Same Family Pets
Same-family members can share the same kennel if requested, or can be boarded side-by-side. We cannot be responsible for same pet household same kennel disagreements and highly suggest separate kennels.
Cancellation Policy
Due to the nature of our business and proper planning we request cancellations of all appointments/reservations at least 24 hours prior to arrival. Failure to cancel 24 hours prior to arrival will result in the forfeiture of any deposit, or one night package credit.
After any no show appointments/reservation or no notice of cancellation, we will require payment in full before we can make your pets future appointments.
Check Out
Boarding checkout is by 11:00am unless having grooming service late checkout is one night’s stay. Pets having grooming or daycare services are not charged a late checkout fee. Pet Parents will receive a Check Out Estimate the day before Check Out, with payment link to finalize their bill prior to arriving. Any extra charges after payment made will be settled when the Pet Parent arrives.
